Scrub: blend 3 tablespoons almond meal (ground almonds) with 0.5 cup yoghourt. Apply the mixture on your face and neck. Rub it gently, especially on the dark patches. It also helps to get rid of tan.
For dry skin, add 0.5 teaspoon til (sesame) oil to a little quantity of milk and apply on the face. Wipe off with wet cotton wool once quarter-hour past. It helps dark patches to gradually become lighter.
For sunburn: apply milk (Cold) daily, using a cotton wool(cloth), not only helps soothe the skin, however additionally keeps it soft. It also makes skin to appear lighter over a period of time, if you use daily.
Another remedy to soothe sunburn and protect the skin by using sesame seed, or "til seed". Take a full hand of sesame seeds, crush them and add 0.5 a cup of water. Let it and wait for 2 hours. Strain the liquid and use it to clean your face.

Or blend cucumber juice and lime juice and apply only on the dark patches daily. Wash when quarter-hour past. This suits oily skin more.
You can also add a pinch of turmeric powder (haldi) to curd and apply daily. Wash it off when twenty to half-hour past. This helps to lighten dark spots. For dry skin, blend one teaspoon honey with milk and apply daily on the face, wash it off with plain water when twenty minutes past.
Mask: combine 3 teaspoons of oatmeal with ripe papaya pulp and one tea spoon of curd (cold) into a thick paste. Apply and wash off when twenty minutes past. This mask suits both dry and oily skins.
