For guys, styling gel may be a tool which will facilitate them achieve any look. But! Yes, there's the curious case of 'but' with hair styling gels. You will not realize it, however most hair gels contain ingredients which will do more damage to your hair than good. Hair gels contain many ingredients which will be harmful. One such example is alcohol, which is present in most gels and might de-moisture the scalp and dry out hair. Ingredients needed to make this hair styling gel include ¼-cup of flax seeds, two cups of water and one table-spoon of Aloe vera gel.

How to prepare your own hair gel

First, soak the flaxseeds in water either for six to eight hours or nightlong to reduce preparation time and enhance gel yield. However, this step is optional . You'll also add the flax seeds to boiling water(boiled water) and keep stirring the mixture in between.


Take a spoon check to know if your gel is prepared or not. If the drip drops quickly, the mixture wants cooking for a few more time. However, make sure you don’t overheat it, because it might cause your gel to induce extra thick. When ready, the mixture can appear thick and jelly alike. Turn off the heat, strain the mixture into a bowl and let it cool. Once it's cooled, combine it with Aloe vera gel to extend its wetness and therapeutic properties.


Home made gelatine hair styling gel

Ingredients you'll need to make your natural hair styling gel with gelatine include one cup of water and one teaspoon of tasteless gelatine.

How to prepare the gel

Boil the water and pour it in a glass jar. Now combine one teaspoon of tasteless gelatine to it as tasteful gelatin contains sugar and dyes that aren't good for your hair. You'll add essential oil to that for fragrance. Stir the mixture well and cover the jar with a lid.


Now, you'll need to keep your jar within the refrigerator for some of hours to set the gel. Once the gel is ready, you'll style your hair with it.

Aloe vera gel

You would also use Aloe vera gel to style your hair. Simply take a pea-sized quantity of Aloe vera gel in your hands and then comb(run your hands through) your hair. So, why damage your hair with all those chemical-based hair styling gels? Prepare your own gel(by yourself) at home and flaunt the newest hairstyle without any worry.
